Angie & Ryan's Big Day!

The happy couple!

I set out before dawn on 23rd November for the long drive to Cape Town. Why I am doing this? Well it is Angie's & Ryan's wedding of course in Franschoeck in the Cape. The first day's drive was a mammoth 1,400 kms to Beaufort West where I stayed the night, before pushing on the next day to my destination. I stayed at the Protea Hotel in town, which was both convenient & in a great setting.

Speckled Rock Pigeon, nesting outside my room!

Me, early in the evening!

Miss Barbie!

Angie with Roger &
 Rosemary.

We all met up for a drink in the evening of the 24th & as is tradition, the girls went to another venue while the boys stayed put. The girls came back much, much later! A good time was had by all.

Close call!

Rosemary & Manny were sleeping just
on the other side of this wall!

The wedding day didn't get off to a great start! At dawn, a car travelling much too fast careered off the road & overturned right next to where Rose & Manny were sleeping! This could have been a disaster!

Ryan & his brother Juan, with the minister.

Still waiting!
