We transferred from La Digue to Praslin on 31st October in heavy rain. Luckily for us, it stopped raining once we were on the ferry & it was a short hop across arriving in Praslin on time.
We picked up our car but couldn't get all the people & luggage into it, so Lourens & Anelle stayed behind & Delana & I drove the luggage to the villa. We couldn't go inside, as the previous people were there & it still needed to be cleaned. Driving here was quite difficult, severe hills, narrow roads, uneven road surface reckless drivers.
We returned to the port & picked the others up & drove to the star attraction on Praslin: Coco de Mar National Park. It was very touristy with lots of people already there & more arriving by the minute! It was also very expensive to get inside!
I am here!

We hiked up the muddy trails surrounded by dense vegetation making birding challenging. Also it was tough going for me as my foot was really painful (it was even worse coming down)!
We walked up to the viewpoint & spent a bit of time there looking over the forest. White tailed Tropicbids were sailing over & we saw 13 Seychelles Black Parrots in total, but all were very far away. I managed the worst photo ever!

European Tree Pipit
We then drove to the villa & moved in & a very nice spot it was. Later I spotted a European Tree Pipit on the lawn, which is an uncommon to rare annual migrant here.
The 1st November it was raining & raining hard! So we didn't do much, just chilling in the villa. Once the rain stopped we went to the beach at Anse Lazio. It was a nice spot. The others snorkeled while I just stayed on the beach.
Today 2nd November was Delana's birthday! Early on we went to the local beach & then went to Cafe de Arts to watch the rugby world cup final. England lost! Later that evening we went out for a nice birthday meal.
The next day was spent at Petit Anse beach, we didn't do a great deal but that is sometimes the way on holiday.
On the 4th November we had a lay in & then caught the ferry to Mahe. We saw a few Wedge tailed Shearwaters & one Tropical Shearwater. 3 Sooty Terns & a few each of both Common & Lesser Noddies. We picked up our car, did some shopping & settled in to our lovely villa overlooking the bay.
