Kori Bustard is one of those large birds which is under threat in southern Africa. When I lived in Zimbabwe, this species could be found on open range & ranch lands. However, today it is largely confined to national parks &other private protected areas.
It is a variety of factors that are contributing to its decline & its future is uncertain. Even in large extensive protected areas populations are declining.
