The baby boy, bigger than his mum now!
In my driveway!
I had a look around & discovered that the female Nyala had a well grown baby boy in tow! Earlier this year six Nyala had suddenly appeared in Sabie Park & they have bred!. This is good news indeed for what is quite an uncommon mammal in this area.
Male Impala's are now getting ready for the rut
& are very noisy!

Errm!
What they missed, was Lion spoor just six feet away
from where they were sitting!
Jon & Jayne from Abu Dhabi visited me for a couple of days. They were fortunate as we saw two Lions from the picnic site.
Two of the four Elephants.
Trouble coming?
The 26th August was a rest day for me, just getting ready for my forthcoming trip to Kruger. Four bull Elephants we in the river right up against my fence. They were there all afternoon but after dark they came through the fence & started eating around my house. They were still there in the morning when I was trying to pack my truck. One even mock charged me & hit the car port!
